The Dark Knight is a story in which there is a struggle between good and evil; the forces of justice and chaos. The movie begins with a bank robbery. As the criminals get closer to success, they start offing one another so they can get a bigger share of the money. The last criminal remaining reveals himself to be the Joker, backstabbing everyone and driving off with all the money. In another scene the introduction of Batman is preceded by Batman impersonators fighting off criminals unsuccessfully. The true Batman arrives and saves them and the criminals are all subdued. Between these two scenes we see a contrast between the Batman and the Joker. Batman is portrayed as the brave savior-like figure who exercises justice whom people aspire to be. Whereas, the Joker shows himself to be the betraying figure of chaos, unable to be trusted because he kills even his own kind.
Batman shows his many virtues all throughout the movie. Bruce Wayne, the man behind the mask is a billionaire with much power. As the saying goes, 'power corrupts absolutely,' this saying is proved false by Bruce Wayne in a scene where he is in the midst of a business deal involving much money. The potential business partner Mr. Lau has some questionable reputations causing Mr.
