º»¹®³»¿ë First of all, I am not an any kind of expert on poem, and like most student in this class understand only fragments of it, but what I have gained from this poem I have found to be very enlightening, and very impressive. The Wasteland is the best poem I have ever read. It is relatively difficult to understand easily, but I guess if you are thinking of picking up this poem you are not looking for instant entertaining or light reading.
I remember when I first read just a few parts of the waste land in 2002, when I was a freshman in college. I basically didn`t get any of meaning, but there was something that vividly impressed itself in my young mind. All that I could remember from the first reading in 2002 was just some images. But it wasn`t just the images, there was something else clearly. The poem has a way of getting us
