The author, Horace visited Korea and he wrote about his thinking and feeling in many ways. There are many kinds of judgement and opinions on author`s own view and most of them the author had negative position. In fact, there are many kind of misunderstanding about Korean people, so I want to introduce several part of his article and include my opinion and explain about Korean culture.
Horace said that Korean people are impolite to stranger include foreigner but for neighborhood or o-operator they are too kind and it seems very strang to writer. For example, sometimes Korean taxi driver request more money when they take foreign people and it is not honesty. But when they meet knowing people in subway, they are so kind. How could they act like that so differently! It looks another person. In Korea know a person is very important so, we try to polite to them and care for them. And these days many Korean people getting more polite and kind to foreigner. So the author`s idea is not match with nowadays Korean people. So, I disagree with author`s idea.
