The 38th parallel have separated South Korea and North Korea for decades. Some people argue that we should reunify two countries, because people of both countries have the national homogeneity. In contrast, others, including most South Koreans, oppose it because many differences between two countries will make South Koreans suffer from property and economic imbalance. The reunification, however, is not proper at this point of time. South Korea will have little to won for its economic and political activities if that really happens.
Supporters of the reunification often give the following statement: North Korea is characterized by its abundant resources, so South Korea can make free use of those supplies after the reunification.
