If someone’s computer has broken down, he/she might realize how
important a computer is. In modern society, the Internet is a necessity in
every firm because companies can save time and money by providing
telecommuting system. Employees can communicate with each other on
the Web. Still, the Internet has harmful effects on people in business
because of security, the privacy of employees and criminal issues.
To commence, security is one of the problems with the Internet
disadvantages to employees. Hacking, the theft of credit card numbers
and viruses are the main concerns with security. Hackers break into a
company network through the Internet and steal key information such as
credit card numbers to demanding much money. Furthermore, another
security issue involves the spread of computer viruses over the Internet.
In the workplace, unknowingly downloading infected programs over the
Internet is a common practice. It disturbs employees in their tasks. Thus,
employees should use the Internet with caution due to security reasons.
