It is very difficult to see international students in Korean classrooms and there are no music programs in Korean classrooms as well. Unlike the heterogeneous population of the U.S., Korea is the homogeneous society. Therefore, we can exactly apply the systems of both the multicultural music education in the U.S. and the intercultural Music education in Germany. In this regard, Korean multicultural music education should be different from both of these countries. Korean multicultural music education should start from Globalization which is broadly used as the meaning that the world is one. Now days, we live in the global world where all the nations cooperate and exchange their traditions for better existence. Therefore, we should respect and appreciate the differences and traits of the other culture`s traditional music. I can dare to say that the intention of our multicultural music education should be based on bringing up better human beings to make this complicated world peaceful. This kind of attitude is gradually and naturally growing up by experiencing various multicultural activities from early ages. Consequently, our music education society should understand the necessity of multicultural music education and try to develope this in our music classrooms.
