I`m the oldest of three in my family. For me, being the big sister is both fun and hard. As an older child, I have power. However, as stated in the Spider movies With power comes responsibility., sometimes I feel stress of higher expectation from parents. So I can tell you being an older child has its advantages and its disadvantages both.
There are a lot of benefits of being a older child. First of all, you always hold a special place in parents` heart. For simple example, I have more photos than younger siblings. And I`m sure whatever I do my parents will focus on me. I can also get more of my parents` things. What`s more You don`t have to worry about any reputations set by other siblings going into school . Certainly, most of oldest kid take care of your younger siblings so you learn responsibility from a young age, therefore you tend to be mature for your age. Nowadays , a lot of CEOs and presidents are oldest kids , all of them are responsible workaholics.
On the other hand, growing up the oldest child is tough. Parents often put too much responsibility on the oldest child`s shoulder. For me, I got punished more for bad behavior than other two siblings did because I was a model child in my family. In other words ,
