º»¹®³»¿ë Why is Off‐Campus Housing a More Appealing Choice?
As students come to a university campus as freshmen, they have to choose between on‐campus or off‐campus housing. Generally speaking, it is not simple since both options have their advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, it is crucial for students to weigh their choices before they make a final decision. I personally believe there are more advantages than disadvantages when one chooses to live off‐campus. Here are some merits of living off‐campus: privacy, independency and a sense of responsibility.
First of all, off‐campus housing allows students to have privacy. Students living off‐campus will more than likely have their own bedroom to choose when to spend some time alone and to study quietly and conveniently away from their roommates. On the other hand, at most colleges, the dorm rooms are small and living on‐campus gives students limited privacy since they have to share bedrooms, bathrooms, and other common facilities.
