재료 및 방법
1. 공시재료 및 처리내용
본 실험은 경북대학교 부속 과수원에 3.5×1.2~1.5m로 재식된 8년차‘후지`/M.9 중 2004년에 수세조절을 목적으로 단근과 박피 처리한 나무를 실험재료로 하여 2005년 3월부터 2006년 4월에 걸쳐 시행하였다.
2004년도에 실시한 단근처리는 만개기(4월 12일)때 주간에서 약 30cm 떨어진 위치에서 30cm 깊이로 열간을 따라 절단하였다. 박피처리는 발아기(4월 1일)때 접목부 상단 5cm부분에서 5mm의 폭으로 수피를 벗겨내었다.
단근 및 박피처리를 한 사과나무와 무처리구를 대상으로 2005년 5월 말에서 2006년 4월 중순까지 조사를 실시하였다. 착과수는 인위적으로 조절해 주지 않았다. 처리구는 발아기 박피처리구를 5주, 만개기 단근 처리구를 15주으로 해 주었고, 무처리로 20주을 실시하였다. 기타 관리는 경북대학교 부속과수원 키 낮은 사과나무 표준관리법에 준하여 실시하였다.
2. 조사항목 및 방법




4) 익년개화율
익년개화율에 있어서는 처리 이듬해인 2005년도의 무처리 45%에 비해 박피 및 단근 처리구는 55%로 높게 나타났다. 2년뒤인 2006년도에는 무처리가 70%인 반면에 박피 및 단근 처리구는 50%, 68% 로서 무처리보다 낮게 나타났으며, 개화수 역시 무처리가 가장 높았다(Fig. 2).

고 찰
Greene과 Lord(1983)는 ‘Cortland`사과품종에 박피처리를 한 결과 당해 신초생장이 억제되고 화아분화가 촉진되어 이듬해에 착과수와 과중이 증가하여 생산량이 증가하며, 경도는 증가하였다. 그러나 당도와 착색은 감소한다고 하였다.
