1. What is carbon transaction?
Carbon transaction are defined as purchase contracts whereby one party pays another party in return for emissions reductions or for the right to release a given amount of emissions.

2. World Carbon Market
1. In 2006, scale of world Carbon Market worth $30 billion
Allowances shares the market 81.8%, and EU-ETS shares 98.9% of Allowances.
-Allowances market is easier to trade than Project-based transactions.
2. Extension of world Carbon Market
1) World Bank& IETA
- According to IETA, in 2010, scale of world carbon market will be worth $150 Billion which is 5 times larger than 2006

2) Why?
-Many companies from advance country rather invest on buying emission credit than reducing green-house gas or developing new energy sources.
